More counts have been filed against the Caldwell County teacher charged with indecent liberties. His bond was also increased. 29-year-old Justin William Biggs of Kincaid Hill Drive in Lenoir was arrested Tuesday (December 5) by Lenoir Police Officers. He's now charged with five felony counts of indecent liberties with a child, he was initially charged with three counts.
On November 9, 2017, the Lenoir Police Department began an investigation into reports of physical assault by a teacher at William Lenoir Middle School. After a several week investigation, the case was heard by the Grand Jury in Caldwell County on Monday (December 4). Indictments were returned by the Grand Jury against Biggs.
Following his arrest, Biggs was initially detained in the Caldwell County Detention Center under $150,000 secured bond. That bond has since been increased to $250,000 secured. Biggs is scheduled to appear in Superior Court January 8.
