The Catawba County Chamber of Commerce has announced their 2017 Edison Project winners. The first place winner was Carmen Eckard with “Foothills Digest”. In second place was Justin Fox with Apple Valley Orchard & Cidery and the third place winners were Jens Roessler, Tomas Hans and Sercan Cihan with InPort.
The Edison Project is sponsored by the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce. The program recognizes entrepreneurs who have innovative, viable business ideas for Catawba County.
Winners of the competition receive seed investment incentives in the amounts of $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place and $3,000 for third place.
All finalists and applicants for the Edison Project have the opportunity to continue their goals of establishing their start-up businesses through ongoing training, mentoring, workshops and assistance from area business consultants.
