Morganton Man Arrested in Hickory on Failure to Appear Charge from Avery County

25-year-old Johnathan Edward Hunnicutt of N.C. Highway 181 in Morganton was arrested by Hickory Police just after 8 a.m. yesterday (September 11) on one felony count of failure to appear.  He failed to appear in court on one felony count of possession of methamphetmine.  The warrant for his arrest was issued on August 21 in Avery County.

Hunnicutt was taken into custody at a mobile home park on 27th Street N.E.  He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond.  He has since been released.  An appearance in District Court was set for September 18 in Avery County.
