16-year-old Kevin Blaine Jenkins of Rhodhiss Road in Connelly Springs and 16-year-old Cody Dean Limbo of Airport Rhodhiss Road in Hickory were arrested Wednesday (August 9) by Burke County Sheriff's Officers. They're each charged with six felony counts of breaking and entering to a motor vehicle, single felony counts of attempted breaking and entering to a building, larceny of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm, and two misdemeanor counts apiece of larceny and possession of stolen goods.
On Wednesday (August 9) shortly after 1 p.m., deputies with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Highway 70 and Rhodhiss Road, in reference to a reported breaking and entering in progress. A Sheriff's Office detective investigating previous cases in the area was on the scene in less than one minute. Two defendants were located and identified as Kevin Blaine Jenkins and Cody Dean Limbo. During the course of the investigation, Jenkins and Limbo were also linked to the vehicle break-ins reported in the Knob Mountain Road area on August 4-6.
Anyone with any information regarding previous break-ins in the Rhodhiss area is asked to call the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500 or Morganton-Burke Crimestoppers at 828-437-3333. All Crimestoppers tips are anonymous, and anyone with information leading an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward. Jenkins and Limbo were taken into custody and confined at Burke-Catawba District Confinement Facility under $50,000 secured bond each. They were both scheduled to appear in District Court today (August 11).
