Hickory Man Served Multiple Indictments

53-year-old Jay Patrick Henderson of 1st Street S.E. in Hickory was arrested by Hickory Police shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday (July 1). He was served a bill of indictment as an habitual felon. The warrant for his arrest was issued in September of last year.

Henderson was also indicted for possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine (two counts); sale or delivery of a controlled substance; and the sale of cocaine (two counts); plus another indictment as an habitual felon. In addition, Henderson faces four counts of failure to appear for misdemeanor larceny and one count of failure to appear for second-degree trespass.

Henderson was taken into custody without incident at his residence. He was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond set at $35,000, secured.  An appearance in Superior Court was scheduled today (July 3) with a District Court date coming up on August 15.
