Vale Woman Again Arrested for Shoplifting at Walmart

51-year-old Jeraine Ray Wilson of Plateau Road in Vale was arrested by Hickory Police shortly after seven o’clock last night (July 2) for habitual larceny.

She was arrested after Hickory Police responded to the Walmart store on Highway 70 S.E. in Hickory.  Upon arrival, the reporting party identified a vehicle that the suspect had entered.  That vehicle was stopped on 25th Boulevard S.E.  The passenger was identified as Jeraine Wilson.  Multiple stolen items were found in her purse.  The driver was not charged.

Wilson had previously been arrested on June 17 on failure to appear and habitual larceny charges that came in connection to an October 2016 at Walmart.

Following her arrest yesterday, Wilson was placed in the Catawba Co. Detention Facility under a $40,000 secured bond.  An appearance in District Court was scheduled today.
