Foothills Veterans Stand Down To Be Held Today In Hickory

The annual Foothills Veterans Stand Down will be held today (Friday, April 21) in Hickory. The event has been moved, in the past it was held at the Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds, this year it will be at CVCC.

The event is being held to assist veterans in the foothills and across western North Carolina. Services available for veterans will include medical and dental care, food, clothing, education, tax assistance, employment counseling, eye care, haircuts, shoes, community resources, outdoor supplies, pastoral counseling, and fellowship.

The 2017 Foothills Veterans Stand Down will be going on from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Catawba Valley Community College's Tarlton Complex. For more information go to the website www.foothillsstanddown.com.
