21-year-old Bruce Lee Stroud of 10th Street S.W. and 32-year-old Anthony Lynn Davidson of McClough Road, both from Hickory, were arrested Monday (March 31) by Hickory Police. Both men were charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Davidson was also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana up to half an ounce.
They were arrested as Hickory Police assisted Catawba Co. Sheriff’s Officers with the service of a warrant at the mobile home park where Stroud lives. A consent search of the residence was conducted leading to the discovery of 4.4 grams of methamphetamine in two containers and 2.5 grams of marijuana, also in two containers, as well as assorted drug paraphernalia.
Both men were taken to the Catawba Co. Detention Facility with bond for Stroud set at $10,000, secured. Davidson was given a $5,000 secured bond. First appearances in District Court were scheduled for today (April 2).
