The Catawba County Democratic Party will hold its annual County Convention in Newton starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5. The convention will be held at the Historic Newton Courthouse, located at 30 N. College Avenue. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
All Catawba County Democrats are encouraged to attend. Former North Carolina Democratic Party Chair David Parker will be the keynote speaker. Judge Sam Ervin IV, a candidate for the NC Supreme Court, will address the convention. There will also be an opportunity to hear from other local Democratic candidates.
The event is open to the public.
