The Hickory Crawdads lost on the road to the Lexington Legends Monday night, 8-6.
The Crawdads were led at the plate by Josh Jung. He went two-for-four with two runs scored and an RBI. Tyreque Reed went two-for-five with a home run and two RBI.
While getting nine hits on the night, the Crawdads left a lot of runs off the board. Hickory had 14 runners left on base, and were three for ten in runners in scoring position.
Hever Bueno, who had been nearly ligths out for the Crawdads so far this season in 19 games, faltered in his 20th outing of the season. He came in the seventh inning with Hickory nursing a one run lead, and allowed three runs on four hits in a total of two innings pitched.
Hickory falls to 28-21 on the second half of the season. They will face Lexington through Wednesday before taking on the Greenville Drive starting Thursday. The Crawdads next home game is a week from tonight.
