Lenoir-Rhyne softball's Talon LaClair, Kylee Leonhardt and Savannah Moorefield were named to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association 2019 College Division All-State Softball Teams. LaClair was a first team selection while Leonhardt and Moorefield were second team honorees.
LaClair finished her sophomore campaign with a team-high .414 batting average, including a conference-best .507 batting average in league play. She recorded a hit in nine straight at bats and she finished in the top ten in five offensive categories. LaClair led the team with 44 RBIs and had 15 multi-hit games. She was also named second team all-conference in the South Atlantic Conference, second team all-southeast region and earned third team academic all-American status as well. Last season, LaClair was a second team all-state receipient from the NCCSIA.
Leonhardt, last year's SAC Freshman of the Year, earned her first career All-Region selection earlier this season and the catcher was a First Team All-Conference performer in her second season in Hickory. She finished her sophomore campaign with a .338 batting average, eight home runs, 33 RBIs and a .435 on-base percentage.
Moorefield led the South Atlantic Conference with 51 runs scored, five more than any other player in the league. Moorefield also stole 13 bases and posted a .385 batting average and .464 on-base percentage. The sophomore had six doubles, three trips and seven home runs in her 44 games. She was named to the second team all-conference this season.

NCCSIA selects all-state teams in the University (Division I) and College (Division II, III, NAIA) divisions for men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, softball and baseball.
