Junior All-American, P.J. Lotharp, is setting indoor tracks ablaze with his third South Atlantic Conference Track Athlete of the Week Honors this season, as the league office announce on Tuesday morning.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Track and Field Team set five new school records on the first day of the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational this past Friday, and Lotharp held two of them. The Indian Trail, N.C. native put his name on the top of the list for the 50m dash with a time of 6.73 seconds, good enough for No. 2 in the NCAA, and the 200m sprint with a time of 21.57, which sits at No. 14 in the NCAA. Lotharp was also a part of the school record-breaking 4x400m relay team who set a top mark of 3:23.19 while taking first place at the meet in the 60m with a time of 6.81.
The Bears continue their indoor season as they head to Winston Salem, N.C. for the JDL College Team Challenge on Feb. 7.
