Senior Kendall Toineeta scored a season-high 26 points, but the Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Basketball Team fell at home in South Atlantic Conference action to the Carson-Newman Eagles, 89-81, on Saturday afternoon.
Toineeta finished with a season-high 26 points and went 5-for-10 from three point land. The senior has topped the 20-point mark three times this season.
Madi Suddreth posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards. Madeline Hardy was just shy of recording a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.
Kennedy Weigt put in 17 points for the Bears and went 6-for-15 from the floor and 5-for-14 from long range.
Harris Price led the Eagles with 44 points on 16-of-26 shooting. The Eagles shot 46.4 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from long range.
With her five 3-pointers made today, Weight has now hit multiple threes in seven straight games.
With her seven assists recorded today, Toineeta leads the South Atlantic Conference averaging 5.3 assists-per-game.
The Bears fall to 10-10 overall, 5-7 in South Atlantic Conference play. L-R will travel to Newberry on Wednesday.
