The Hickory Crawdads swept both games of a doubleheader on the road against the Greensboro Grasshoppers Tuesday night. Hickory won the first game, 5-1 and would take the second game, 2-1.
In game one, Hickory scored in the first inning, followed by a pair of runs in teh fourth and sixth innings for the win. Crawdads pitcher Noah Bremer took the complete game win on the mound, allowing only four hits and one run while striking out seven in seven innings.
In game two, Hickory scored in the top of the second inning and Ryan Dorow's solo home run in the top of the fourth were all the runs Hickory would need. Another quality pitching effort allowed Hickory the win, as Ryan Dease picked up his first win with five innings of shutout ball, allowing five hits while striking out three. Joe Barlow picked up the save allowing only one home run.
Hickory is 28-34 on the first half of the season. They remain at Greensboro through Thursday.
