Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Joe Buduo and Ryan Crompton have been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Both players led Lenoir-Rhyne to a pair of road victories last week over seventh-ranked Belmont Abbey (10-4) and conference-rival Wingate (13-11) on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively.

Buduo, a junior attacker from Shrewsbury, Mass., scored four goals in both games and added four assists and five ground balls for the week as well. Buduo leads the team in both goals scored (27) and total points (38).

Crompton, a senior goalkeeper from Frederick, Md., totaled 28 saves with a .651 save percentage in both contests for the Bears. Crompton has won the league weekly honor three times this year – nine total for his collegiate career – and is the Bears’ all-time leader in saves with 400.
