Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Cross Country Finishes Second in Newton

Reigning SAC Runner of the Week, Audra Yarber, placed second to lead the Bears Reigning SAC Runner of the Week, Audra Yarber, placed second to lead the Bears Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Cross Country Team finished second overall at its annual home meet – also called the Pre-SAC Invitational – Friday evening at Southside Park.

Wingate won the meet with 31 points while the Bulldogs’ Clementine Archinard was the individual champion (18:52). The Bears finished second with 45 points and were led by junior Audra Yarber (Abingdon, Va.), who was runner-up with a time of 19:01 on the 5K course.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Cross Country Team next competes in the UNC Asheville Invitational on Saturday, September 23, at 8:30 a.m., in Swannanoa, N.C.
