Franklin Rollin homered and had two hits, and Kyle Cody hurled six scoreless innings as the Hickory Crawdads topped the Greenville Drive 3-1 on Sunday.
C.D. Pelham got Carlos Tovar to hit into a double play with a runner on first to end the game for his fifth save of the season.
Cody (5-6) allowed four hits while striking out eight and walking two to pick up the win.
Hickory started the scoring in the second inning when Alex Kowalczyk hit a solo home run and Elio Castillo hit an RBI single.
After Hickory added a run in the eighth on a home run by Rollin, the Drive cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Tyler Hill hit an RBI single, driving in Lorenzo Cedrola.
Jay Groome (1-2) went five innings, allowing two runs and seven hits in the South Atlantic League game. He also struck out seven and walked one.
Isaias Lucena singled three times for the Drive.
Hickory improves to 14-10 on the second half of the season and currently have a one game lead atop the standings of the South Atlantic League's Northern Division. Hickory stays on the road at Greenville tonight. They are off tomorrow and will host Asheville at L.P. Frans Stadium on Wednesday.
