Three players tied for medalist honors at 4-over including Casper Howells of Florida Gulf Coast, who closed with a 67 (-5). Jacksonville State’s Camilo Aguado and La Salle P.J. Acierno also finished at 4-over.

App State (+41) finished five shots ahead of Sun Belt-foe UT Arlington and USC Beaufort, both of whom tied for fifth. The Mountaineers put together a charge on the front nine on Monday to put some heat on JSU.

Freshman Tripp Summerlin (Summerfield, N.C.) opened with four birdies in his first six holes to get App going. He finished tied for 12th at 8-over, closing the event with a 73 (+1). He was 4-under through 10 holes before a double bogey on No. 11 set him back.

The highlight of the week came from sophomore Thomas Hodges (Waxhaw, N.C.), who aced the par three 14th in the second round on Sunday.

App sophomore Alex Burris (Greensboro, N.C.) also started hot with birdies on three of his first six holes, he was 2-under through 14 holes before finishing with App’s low round of the day, a 72 (E). He finished tied for 21st at 11-over.

Senior Patrick Moriarty (Rockville, Md.) finished at 16-over and tied for 34th, while Walker Brinker (Sanford, N.C.) was 66th and had a 78 (+6) on Monday.
