Attention Charter Customers having trouble receiving WHKY-TV channel 7 on some TV sets:

Effective January 9th 2013 Charter began offering WHKY-TV (Charter cable channel 7) exclusively in a digital format.  This change will require digital equipment in order to continue viewing WHKY-TV on all of your television sets.

You will not be affected by this upgrade on TVs currently connected through Charter digital equipment (ie:  HDTV receiver, Charter DVR, etc), WHKY-TV should still be viewable on Channel 7.

If you have a TV connected directly to a cable wall outlet without wiring through a Charter digital receiver (ie:  2nd bedroom, kitchen) then channel 7 is likely no longer viewable on those TVs.

****You can try rescanning your digital TV set to see if Channel 7 will reappear.****

If rescanning does not work then you will need to add a Charter digital receiver to those TVs to continue receiving channel 7.  No upgrade in Charter channel packages is required.

Please call Charter Communications at 877-617-0294 or visit your local Charter office to get your digital receiver or for more information.

Some viewers have reported visiting their local Charter office and:  “...finding success in asking for 2 free digital receivers, if told the receivers will cost you $5/month ask the representative to check their computer about this and you will likely get them for free...”

WHKY-TV has no control over this change and only passes along this information as a courtesy to its viewers.  Please contact Charter Communications directly with any questions or concerns.
